1. What qualifications and experience do you bring to this office?

My business experience spans two decades and has covered a myriad of disciplines from Fortune 50 Corporations, to Real Estate professional, and entrepreneur. I am also a certified Project Manager, with expertise in managing assets and people to get the job done on time and on budget. I have formally led large teams of 100 or more people but also know how to handle back office negotiations with tact and integrity. I love technology and data and believe decisions should be supported with facts.

I also have a passion for community service and philanthropy. I am a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor. I am a Leadership Memphis Board of Director and United Way leadership giver for the past 15 years. These skills would allow me to serve the City of Memphis well as the City Councilman for District 2.

2. What do you see as the top two issues facing this office and how do you plan to address these issues?

Public Safety and Economic Development are the top issues for the office. I plan to address public safety with a three-pronged approach: • Address police attrition by sponsoring compensation and benefits studies and closing any gaps with compensation, infrastructure and equipment. • Address juvenile violent crime rates by working with police, community organizations and the school system to identify the drivers and execute an effective juvenile justice and success initiative. • Work with CLERB to continue to continue to keep the justice process transparent and accountable to the citizens which it serves. I will sponsor a culture, diversity and innovation initiative drive sweeping Memphis Economic Development reform. I support increasing incentives to encourage new development with a strong focus on closing gaps highlighted in recent disparity studies.

3. How do you plan to involve citizens in the decision making process of this office?

I will make a concerted effort to hold more community meetings for citizens to receive information, ask questions and voice concerns. I will also revisit community development efforts to ensure effectiveness. Organized communities are more effective at curbing crime and improving community standards. I will work with community organizers to establish a connection with the community and city government.
