Hello Voter's Guide, I bring seven years of experience to this position. I have been a dedicated public service member to the city of Memphis. I am a native Memphian. I have worked in low-income communites; providing wrap-around services to our marginalized citizens. I am the Public Relation Professional for Divine Life Church Evangelism Team. I believe in serving in wisdom.. I stand on righteousness and justice for all.

2. What do you see as the top two issues facing this office and how do you plan to address these issues?

1. The City Court Clerk office is too quiet. That leads me to believe that complacency is present. The first issue I would deal with is Customer Compliance. Complacency can be a sore thumb for customers. To have everyone on one accord, We would have Customer Compliance Training, so we would ensure the best customer service an office could offer.

2. The office needs a customer service project to get our citizen more involved. We will do this with the Child Passenger Safety Initiative. The initiative will assist Parents and Caregivers on how to properly install the children in carseats. The initiative will also assist with solidarity between our officers and citizens. The officers will pass out literature about, child passenger safety to our citizen along with the ticket citations.

3. How do you plan to involve citizens in the decision making process of this office?

I feel the public has a right to express how they feel. It is our duty to provide 100% customer service at all times. I would have survey boxes set up with pencil and paper for our customers to randomly uses at their lesure. The surveys will be checked on a weekly basis. Responses (if need be) will be done on a monthly basis.

My previous position with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office as the Director of Community & Legislative Affairs has allowed me to develop relationships with City, County and State Legislators. These relationships and my lobbying experience will be valuable when resolutions and bills are presented pertaining to issues that will affect the Memphis City Court Office. I have proven management skills which will allow me to provide strong leadership within the office. My goal is to create a climate of great customer service and fair treatment to everyone who comes in contact with the Memphis City Court Clerk’s Office.

2. What do you see as the top two issues facing this office and how do you plan to address these issues?

1. The Clerk’s Office will need to develop a better working relationship with the City’s Judges and City Prosecutor’s Office to help reduce fines / cost and missed-courts. Address the issues: Develop a plan that includes the judges, that would allow night court to exist for those citizens who works during the day and have difficulties leaving their jobs. This will also create more jobs.

2. Clerks Office needs to create other resources that would allow citizen to retrieve ticket information and pay. Address the issues: Set up Kiosk machines in precincts where there are no hired clerks, free standing. Citizens can retrieve their information as well as pay on site through the kiosk machine. Citizens in need of clearance letters will be directed to the new site at the Department of Safety location.

3. How do you plan to involve citizens in the decision making process of this office?
