What are the three critical projects or areas of emphasis that will move the water board forward?

(1) Water Quality New blood is required to assure fresh perspectives on all issues including maintaining high water quality. I will always place a major emphasis on the quality and safety of our water. I will always have an open mind to new research and new technologies that would assure continued excellence. (2) Water Distribution A substantial amount of that infrastructure is less than 50 years old, but in the years to come it will start to age out. A major area of emphasis for me will be to support plans to assure that the infrastructure is adequate and well maintained into the future. (3) Finances The District has a financial plan to fund needed capital upgrades into the future. It relies on reserving cash now to fund future repairs. This is fair and equitable. My emphasis for the District would be to take a long-term view to assure that we have a current infrastructure and to do so in a way that makes water affordable today AND IN THE FUTURE.

Master's Degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Operations Management, Henry Block School of Management at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Professionally, I have worked in Health Services for the majority of my 30-year career. The positions I have held had a strong emphasis on cost management, data analytics, and data synthesis. I have experience working on several multi-million dollar construction and/or capital projects; having served as a lead negotiator on many of these.

On the Board, I will be tasked with reviewing and approving many large multi-million dollar initiatives. Having been the person who has generated business cases, I know the pitfalls of large projects. I believe I have the background to ask the right questions, get the needed answers,
