My priorities are clarity, accessibility, responsible stewardship, and Indiana’s long-term financial future. I will provide Hoosiers with clear information about state investments, performance, fees, and how taxpayer dollars are managed. I will support communities through responsible financing for critical infrastructure and public services while protecting public funds and strengthening partnerships with Indiana financial institutions. I will also modernize programs and expand awareness of resources like CollegeChoice 529 and INvestABLE. My goal is a Treasurer’s Office that responsibly manages public funds while making its programs and resources more accessible to all Hoosiers.
I bring nearly a decade of experience in healthcare operations, public health, and business compliance, including managing multimillion-dollar budgets and complex operations under strict regulatory standards. As a healthcare executive and business owner, I have led teams, managed resources, identified inefficiencies, and made decisions where accountability and careful stewardship matter. My work has also taught me to assess risk, navigate complex regulations, oversee financial operations, and understand how financial decisions affect people and communities. I would bring that practical management experience, independent perspective, and commitment to accountability to the responsibility of managing Indiana’s public funds.
Integrity starts with transparency, clear standards, and strong oversight. I will follow all statutory and fiduciary requirements, apply consistent standards to financial decisions, and maintain strong internal controls. My experience managing healthcare operations under strict regulatory standards has taught me to document decisions, assess risk, and hold people and processes accountable. I will make information about state holdings, investment performance, fees, and major financial decisions clear and accessible so Hoosiers can understand how public funds are managed. Decisions should be grounded in sound analysis, applicable law, responsible stewardship, and the interests of Indiana taxpayers.
Protecting Indiana’s treasury requires strong financial controls, cybersecurity, and operational safeguards. I would regularly assess the office’s systems, internal controls, access protocols, data security, and third-party vendors to identify and address vulnerabilities. That includes protecting access to financial systems and sensitive information, employee training, vendor oversight, and plans for responding to cyber incidents or operational disruptions. As technology and threats evolve, security cannot be a one-time investment. I would prioritize regular review, modernization, and accountability to protect Indiana’s public funds and financial systems.
