Saratoga County's needs vary by community, but several issues cut across all of them. Affordability comes first: rising housing, utility, and food costs are straining families and seniors, so we must be disciplined with taxpayer dollars and support local businesses. Growth is next, and infrastructure, sidewalks, and trails must keep pace. We also need to strengthen human services for residents facing homelessness, mental health, and substance use challenges, address aging county facilities, and expand the overcrowded Animal Shelter. Finally, residents deserve public comment at Board meetings. My approach: listen first, see problems firsthand, and invest gradually and responsibly. Saratoga's growth should benefit every community.
The most critical issue facing our town is managing growth responsibly, and traffic is where residents feel it most. Clifton Park has grown significantly, and congestion on our busiest roads shows infrastructure has not always kept pace. I support a comprehensive plan for our aging sewer, water, and road systems, so repairs and upgrades are prioritized and funded over time. We also need a review of our zoning codes to update them for today's needs. Smart traffic planning, safer intersections, and sidewalks and trails will help connect neighborhoods. Growth affects affordability too, so development should serve current and future residents. That means listening, planning carefully, and investing responsibly.

The most critical issues facing Saratoga County are managing continued growth, maintaining infrastructure, supporting public safety and EMS, serving our seniors and veterans, maintaining fiscal discipline, and protecting our quality of life.
As Saratoga County continues to grow, we need to ensure that roads, infrastructure, public safety and emergency medical services keep pace with the needs of our communities. We also have an aging population that makes strong senior services increasingly important, while continuing to ensure our veterans and families have access to the services and support, they have earned.
Ultimately, the challenge is managing growth responsibly while maintaining essential services and protecting quality of life.
One of the most critical issues facing Clifton Park is managing continued development pressures, including traffic, while maintaining the high quality of life our residents expect.
Having served on the Town Board for years, I’ve seen how decisions about public safety, infrastructure, development, open space and Town services directly affect our residents and neighborhoods. We need to continue investing in these priorities while planning responsibly for the future.
Just as importantly, we have to manage the Town budget responsibly and ensure taxpayers continue to receive strong services and value for their tax dollars. For me, it comes down to keeping Clifton Park a safe, well-managed community and a great place to live and raise a family.
