Water rate Stabilization and reduction- Water rates were budgeted to include some failures during the start-up of the new system. We need to review the rates again to see if we can reduce them. Continue to lobby the state and federal governments for funding. Expansion in the Township impacts Linden's quality of life, and we need to find that fine line between growth and oversaturation. While we can’t stop the growth in the county, we can prepare for it. Funding for roads and other needs will be an ongoing issue – Grants and alternatives to traditional asphalt need to be explored. The Mill Building needs Paying Tenants to offset the library & building expenses
• Relocating the DPW Site and redeveloping the current site. We also need to assess the conditions at City Hall, particularly in the Police Department. Grant funding will be key to completing these projects.
• Yes, I believe all elected officials should conduct themselves honorably, with morals and ethics. Michigan State Law already outlines conflicts of interest and fiduciary responsibility but, it doesn't hurt to have a local ethics ordinance to guides ones actions in these matters.
I'm fully engaged in the community. I have been married for 24 years. My wife, Mary, and I have 2 dogs, 2 adult daughters, a granddaughter, and two goddaughters (LHS Graduates) I believe in that small-town feel and have worked hard to build and sustain community involvement in our town, including serving as a founding member and as president of Happening In Linden, Linden’s nonprofit presenter of community events. We host free, family-friendly activities in Linden. I also serve as chairman of the Board at Fenton Lakes Sportsman Club. I serve on the Genesee County Allocation Committee and am a former Oakland County Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
