The 5-member Board sets the policy for the county, determining the strategic vision for the county, appoints a county manager, attorney and others to serve the county, adopts ordinances, including zoning, and establishes an annual budget, which includes setting the tax rate and calling bond referendums. Commissioners are elected at-large from districts, are elected in even-numbered years on a partisan basis and serve staggered 4-year terms. Commissioners must reside in the district they represent.

I have an MBA and a Masters in Accounting. I also own a tax and accounting business so this gives me a rich history of working with people, budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis which I think is essential to being a County Commissioner.
I believe an important issue that Randolph County will have to address is the growth that is happening in this county. As a county commissioner, it will be essential to look at how the county will handle that growth.
The most important role a county commissioner can play is to make sure that funding is available for our schools so the teachers have the tools they need to teach and students have the supplies they need to learn.
To improve the economy in Randolph County we’re going to have to look at ways to bring businesses that will pay the residents the wages that will help them keep up with housing and other essential needs for them and their families. We also need to look at making sure that county employees are paid what they deserve to be paid.
Randolph County has an opioid issue along with other health and special service family issues and we need to look at programs and services that can aid in these issues to help people with rehabilitation and also help those who need social services that are living below the poverty line. We need to make sure all of our residents have access to these services as well. Implementing a bus line in Randolph Couty is an option we could look at too.
I am very concerned about the affordability in the county, making sure that there is affordable housing, affordable healthcare, quality education, and inclusive rural development. The people in this county deserve to have a voice in economic changes and infrastructure, and we need to make sure that government is transparent and inclusive, so that they, the residents, feel more of a part of this county, that their voice matters and is heard, and not just be a body living in this county.
