As an attorney and small-business owner, I have developed the skills to analyze complex issues, listen to competing perspectives, advocate effectively, and find practical solutions. As a legislator, I have firsthand experience turning those skills into action on issues that matter to North Carolina families, including education, infrastructure, public safety, and government accountability. As a mother and longtime member of my community, I understand the importance of making decisions that strengthen North Carolina for the next generation.
My most important priority is making life better and more affordable for North Carolina families. That means lowering the everyday costs people face, protecting access to quality public education and healthcare, investing in infrastructure that keeps our communities moving, and creating an economy where working families can get ahead. Government should focus on the issues that directly affect people’s lives and make decisions that deliver real value for taxpayers. I will continue working to build a North Carolina where families can afford to live, work, raise their children, and thrive.
North Carolina must make public education a true priority. Our schools need the resources to provide every student with a quality education, regardless of their ZIP code. That starts with competitive teacher pay and meaningful investments in recruitment and retention, while supporting the educators who have dedicated their careers to our children.

We also need to invest in students by expanding access to school meals, mental health resources, career and technical education, and the technology and facilities schools need to succeed. Education funding should be transparent, accountable, and focused on student outcomes. I will continue working to strengthen our public schools because investing in our children is vital.
Tax policy should strengthen North Carolina’s economy while making life more affordable for working families. I believe our tax system should be fair, fiscally responsible, and focused on investments that benefit all North Carolinians. Rather than continuing to prioritize broad corporate tax cuts, we should ensure businesses contribute their fair share while investing in public education, infrastructure, healthcare, and other services that support a strong economy. We can encourage responsible business growth while making sure families, not corporations, are the primary focus of our economic policies.
We must build communities where people have the stability and opportunity to thrive. I support adequately funding and better training law enforcement, while strengthening mental health and addiction services and programs that prevent crime before it happens. I also want to address the financial pressures families face through affordable housing, childcare, healthcare, reliable transportation, and good-paying jobs. When families can afford to live in their communities and children have access to strong schools and opportunities, we create safer, stronger communities for everyone.
