My experience has taught me the importance of listening to people, understanding the challenges they face, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions. I bring strong communication, problem-solving, and community-focused leadership skills to this campaign. I understand that serving in the North Carolina General Assembly is about representing people—not just political parties or special interests. I am committed to listening to constituents, bringing their concerns to Raleigh, and advocating for policies that strengthen our communities, support working families, protect individual freedoms, and invest in our public schools and healthcare. I believe my ability to connect with people, listen to different perspectives, and turn comm
My most important priority is improving the quality of life for working families and making sure every North Carolinian has the opportunity to thrive. I will focus on protecting access to quality healthcare and education, strengthening and fully funding our public schools, supporting living wages and affordable housing, and protecting the fundamental freedoms of every person. I believe government should work for all of us and invest in the people and communities that make North Carolina strong.
Education is one of our greatest investments in North Carolina’s future. My priority is to fully and fairly fund our public schools so every student has access to a high-quality education, regardless of ZIP code or family income. We must support and retain qualified teachers and school staff, provide the resources students need to succeed, and ensure schools have safe, welcoming learning environments. I will support policies that strengthen public education, address funding inequities, and put the needs of students and educators at the center of education decisions.
I support a fair and progressive tax system that asks those with the greatest ability to pay to contribute their fair share, while protecting working- and middle-class families from unnecessary tax increases. North Carolina should prioritize revenue that allows us to fully fund public education, expand access to affordable healthcare, improve infrastructure, and address affordable housing. I would oppose tax policies that shift the burden onto working families or reduce our ability to fund essential public services. Tax policy should strengthen our economy by investing in people, communities, and the public services that help businesses and families succeed.
I would promote policies that address both immediate safety needs and the underlying conditions that contribute to crime. This includes investing in community-based violence prevention, mental health and substance-use services, and programs for youth and families. I support adequately funding law enforcement and first responders while strengthening accountability, training, and community relationships. I would also support efforts to reduce gun violence, improve access to safe and affordable housing, and expand economic and educational opportunities. Safer communities require both effective public safety and investments that help prevent violence before it occurs.
I am running for the North Carolina General Assembly because I believe government should work for the people it represents. Every North Carolinian deserves access to quality healthcare, strong public schools, a living wage, affordable housing, and the freedom to live and love as they choose and practice their faith—or no faith—without government interference. I will listen to my constituents, work across differences, and advocate for policies that put people and communities first. I am committed to building a North Carolina where every person has a fair opportunity to thrive.
