First, I feel like the government should answer to the people, not the other way around. We need leadership that cares about making a better life for the people of Wyoming. Second, I think it is important for us to want a better life for our children. I think these are the things that qualify me for public office.
I support the initiative to reduce property taxes. I don't feel people should have to pay taxes to the point that its a burden to keep the property that they work so hard to have. I believe if we have a smaller government and hold our government more accountable with our money we can operate on less funds. This is what the government expects its citizens to do. The people should hold the government to the same standard.
I am completely against the sale and exchange of public lands. Public lands are the only places that the citizens have that they can get out in nature. We need these so our citizens have places to go to get away from the stress of normal life. If we allow for an exchange, the people do not have voice in what is exchanged. Some projects could be positive, but usually, the citizens do not end up being the beneficiary.
Yes I feel the funding is adequate. Accountability is essential with all monies that the government spends. If educators are frugal and careful of how thy spend their money, there will be less waste. Better schools aren't necessarily built with the most money.
I understand that there will always be people that need help. Our focus in government should be to balance the help they need with the training they need to restore their self-respect.

I believe I do my best to represent a very diverse district. I’ve been in public service over thirty years and worked with various governments at the tribal, state and federal level.
I don’t support the initiative but that is up to the voters to decide. If it passes the legislature will have to look at other ways to fund local services. My concern is for the ramifications for essential services and effects on local control.
Public lands should not be exchanged or sold. They should remain for the use of the public for multiple use. Or continued preservation in our national park systems.
Recalibration changed the structure that has effects on schools in the state. It has large and smaller school districts addressing shortfalls in areas that these districts had the flexibility to fund. We are mandated to funds schools at level of need through our constitution but it is sometimes a complex issue.
Yes. Mental health is one area that is needed throughout our schools to our senior population. I support the use of public funds to assist individuals and families across the state.
