Housing affordability and availability, overall cost of living, an aging population with workforce constraints, high energy costs, and tax pressures (especially property taxes) Pro
Property tax relief is the one I'd lean on-Maine's bills have climbed with home values while incomes haven't, and that's the tax people can't escape. I'd push a circuit breaker that caps what seniors and fixed-income households pay as a share of income, plus a homestead exemption bump so the state picks up more of the local burden.
That I won't spend money I don't have, and I won't pretend otherwise Every budget line gets the same question - does this work, and can we afford it - not whether it sounds good in press release.
And that my faith isn't a campaign accessory. It shapes how I treat people, how I keep promises, and why I think government should do less and do it well rather than more and do it badly.
