Cost of living and access to healthcare. Basic needs are not being met, and this is unacceptable. We must do better and take care of people.
Rural poverty is very high in my area, and there is nearly 20% childhood poverty. I want to do everything I can to ensure all of my neighbors are warm, safe, and fed. I think we can work together to build rural resilience and care for our communities. People in rural areas deserve their needs met, jobs to train for and work to support their families, and they deserve the same access to healthcare as everyone else.
I am a mom of three, an interfaith minister, an educator, and a former librarian. I care deeply about my community and would do everything in my power to help make things better for my neighbors.
