Affordable housing.

Wages not keeping up with the cost of living.

Health insurance inadequate or unavailable for many Mainers.

Homelessness in Maine’s urban centers.

Access to medical care particularly birthing centers in rural Maine.
Aging school buildings need more money in the state school building and renovation funds from which Bangor could draw.

Homelessness, mental illness and addiction are an intertwined complex problem that needs a comprehensive plan, money and time. The state could help with grants and best practices.

Everybody deserves health care. Mainecare needs protection to make sure its citizens are cared for.

Mobile home parks need help with rent stabilization plans.
I taught at Bangor High for 30 years.

I chaired the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee for 6 of the 8 years I served in the legislature.

I have been on the State Board of Education.

I feel I have devoted my adult life to serving Bangor and would like to continue.
