Rooted in Franklin Township as a proud graduate, fourth-generation resident, and local aid worker, I’m running to advocate for our students. My qualifications combine hands-on experience in Special Education classrooms, a Licensed Social Worker (MSW), Therapist, and Mental Health Hub Director of Umeed-Hope, I bring trauma-informed expertise in mental health and community care. I offer compassionate, experienced leadership dedicated to holistic student success and strong public schools.
To retain quality teachers, we must fight for competitive pay and advocate at the Statehouse to stop public funds from being siphoned by uncapped voucher programs. Locally, we must center resources closest to the students, ending the reliance on teacher Amazon wish lists, while actively bringing in community collaborators and families to share the load, reduce workloads, and ensure our educators feel fully valued, supported, and equipped to succeed.
To ensure student safety, we must move away from administrative, punitive models that isolate vulnerable children. As a therapist, I know harsh penalties fail to address root causes and strip away a child’s primary support system. Instead, we must prioritize restorative practices and mental health integration. While maintaining strict safety protocols for genuine risks, our schools should focus on connection and community care so every student feels secure and supported.
To balance our budget and improve schools, we must cut administrative bloat and direct resources to frontline staff. I would like to prioritize "Grow Your Own" pipelines for local educators, targeted retention incentives for high-need roles, and competitive compensation. Beyond pay, we must make the job sustainable by protecting planning and collaboration time, expanding mentorship, and giving educators a direct seat at the table to shape decisions.
Uncapped school vouchers disproportionately subsidize higher-income families who already afford private tuition, siphoning critical funds from traditional public districts like ours that lack active referendums. This policy chokes our classrooms of essential resources. We must restore strict income caps and fight at the Statehouse to ensure public education dollars remain dedicated to supporting the vast majority of local children who rely on our public schools.

My professional experience has given me a strong understanding & commitment to serve our students, families, staff & community. I built a long-term career in education, early intervention, disability services, & special ed, including leadership experience at the state level. I believe I can continue to serve effectively & remain a good stewards of public resources.
FTCSC has worked diligently toward more competitive wages for staff while maintaining classroom size. Competitive pay is an important part of recruitment & retention, but is only one part of creating a positive work environment. In addition FTCSC has implemented strategies for mentoring and are creating a culture where employees feel valued, supported, heard, and equipped to succeed.
Supporting our employees is an investment in our students. When staff can be successful are students benefit.
FTCSC is fortunate to have its own police force, working closely with students, families and staff. We take seriously training & preparedness of everyone in our schools.
The district is also implementing additional behavioral supports to identify & address concerns before they escalate. Early intervention can help protect students, staff & the learning environment.
A safe school is one where students & staff feel secure, respected, supported & able to learn/work without unnecessary disruption.
FTCSC has maintained a balanced budget for more than a decade despite significant reductions in state funding. We must continue living within our means while prioritizing educational outcomes.
I prioritize funding based on educational outcomes, employee support. This means carefully evaluating programs & expenditures & pursuing outside funding. Financial responsibility does not simply mean spending less. It means making thoughtful choices about where where resources can have the greatest impact
I strongly support public education, while recognizing families may have different educational needs & should have choices to meet those needs. I believe traditional public schools should not be disadvantaged by funding Charter Schools. Educational choices should be accompanied by equitable expectations, transparency, accountability & responsible use of public funds. I would support policies allowing families meaningful choices while ensuring FTCSC has resources necessary to serve all students.
