Stephanie Holstein is a public servant, a change-maker, a fighter for health, safety, and opportunity in SC. From PeaceCorps to federal government, Holstein spent her career cutting waste and growing resources for your family.
Holstein served in the federal government spearheading Lean Project Delivery to cut waste, but was unjustly fired by Elon’s DOGE brigade last year. Before that Holstein served in the Peace Corps, empowering community organizations to solve problems from the root like farmers' savings groups. Currently assisting doctors to gain children's medical research grants, Holstein is experienced at prioritizing limited budgets for the majority’s needs and cutting wasteful spending.
1. Access to Healthcare is essential to enhance and save lives by ensuring timely, affordable, and equitable medical services. Holstein’s Impact: Expand Medicaid; Reproductive Freedom; Pro-Vaccine.
2. Workers' Rights and Protections are essential to pull families out of poverty, combat CEO and worker inequality, and strengthen the economy.
Holstein’s Impact: Increase the state minimum wage; Legalize collective bargaining for public workers; Invest in Childcare.
3. Violence Prevention with a public health approach confronts the root cause of violence: lack of resources and reactive, costly solutions.
Holstein’s Impact: Innovate SNAP; Common Sense Gun Laws; Community Violence Intervention Programs.
SC House needs a budget that prioritizes working people over corporations. The House hides the fact that tax cuts for corporations are an expense of our tax dollars. This loss in tax revenue has devastated our investment in public education, healthcare, and housing resources.
Without investment in prevention and the root causes of issues in South Carolina like inaccessible healthcare, the reactive solutions are far more expensive and less effective. For example, expanding medicaid will support a woman to access a mammogram and early diagnosis of breast cancer, a child to receive a dental cleaning and avoid missing school for tooth pain, a rural hospital sees a drop in uncompensated emergency room care and boosts financial stability.

I have served approximately four years in the S.C. House of Representatives. I have also managed businesses for most of my career. I have served on several boards and committees. I believe my public service in fire, police and EMS are also important in my experience with serving the public. I have been accessible as a Representative, which is important and sometimes uncommon.

I believe we have done a great job over the last four years, however there is always room for improvement. I believe we could work belter with the Senate to get more laws passed to help the citizens of our state.
