Judge of Probate District 26
Connecticut’s Probate Courts protect the rights of individuals and ensure care, safety and community-based solutions for thousands of our most vulnerable residents and their families in times of need. Probate Courts handle a wide range of sensitive issues affecting children, the elderly, persons with intellectual disability and individuals with psychiatric disabilities, in addition to their traditional role of overseeing decedents’ estates and trusts. I am an attorney whose practice has been solely focused on helping the families and businesses in Windham County for the last 24 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and graduated magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law. I served as a Magistrate in the Connecticut Judicial Branch, presiding over small claims and criminal infraction trials. I currently serve as the President of the Putnam Business Association and previously served 18 years on the Pomfret Board of Education. My husband Marc and I are proud to call this community home.
Probate Court meets people at some of the hardest moments of their lives: losing a loved one, caring for an aging parent, protecting a child or a person with disabilities. The judge must know the law and treat every family with patience and respect. For 24 years, my practice has focused on the people who need legal advice, and the estate, trust, probate, real estate and business law issues that are important to them. I know how this court works from the side of the families who rely on it. As a Magistrate for the Connecticut Judicial Branch, I am experienced in making decisions fairly and impartially. As President of the Putnam Business Association and Chair of the Pomfret Board of Education, I have listened to different interests from every side, and made decisions that served the whole community. I will bring the experience to guide families through the process and the heart to care about each person who walks through the door.
