Occupation/Current Profession Executive Director Michigan Association of Nonpublic Schools
Education B.A. University of Notre Dame, Juris Doctorate University of Detroit School of Law, Masters in Public Administration WSU
I have served as a Trustee at Schoolcraft College since 1995. The college plays a critical role in the community providing transformational education experience for students as well as being an economic driver for western Wayne County. Under the leadership of the administration and Board of Trustees the college is fiscally sound and remains affordable for all students. I want to continue the work of the school to expand access and opportunity for all who come to Schoolcraft College.
Financial constraints are the most pressing issues facing Schoolcraft. We have been innovative and resourceful in financing the operations of college in the face of declining state appropriations all while keeping tuition low. This is important work that requires visionary leadership and a steady governing board. Another priority is student retention and completion. Michigan suffers from a low college attendance rate. Schoolcraft is well positioned to provide education and training to impact the workforce and serve students of all ages.

It is an honor to serve on the board of this wonderful community resource. I very much want to continue. My background is that I have been a special education teacher for over 30 years in the Livonia Public Schools. My husband is a union electrician and I have two daughters who both graduated from Plymouth Canton Community Schools.
Priorities for the board include supporting the current bond proposal and continued support of the college's synergetic relationships with businesses and institutions in our community.
