Candidate For Office House of Representatives Windham 4 District
Parent. Grandparent. Spouse/ Partner. Community Member. Child Care/ After Care Provider, Agency Administrator. Youth Sports Coach. Board member of several local organizations. A lifelong learner. Most importantly, I am dedicated to serving the people of this wonderful community. With my years serving in the Legislature, and in our community,I also have the experience and connections to be effective.
CESA's are an essential part of our current reform plans. Cooperative Education Service Areas have been used in Windham -Windsor-Rutland Counties and are the model for what we plan to do in the state -without forcing the current 120 school districts into 5, as the Governor proposed. CESA's share services like special education, administration and procurement, creating efficiencies . It is a model used in nay states and deserves a chance here in Vt.
The legislature took steps to do just that with Act 181, and then we amended it in response to public input. It's how government should work in being responsive and open to learning and changing. This makes it easier in designated areas to plan for Workforce Housing and still protect our environment.
