Aldermans are responsible for helping set the city's policies, approve and oversee the budget, vote on ordinances and resolutions, and provide oversight of city services, infrastructure, and spending. I would also have the responsibility of listening to and communicating clearly with residents to make sure their concerns are represented and addressed at City Hall.

I am the assistant payroll manager for the City of Little Rock, where I oversee approximately $4 million in payroll every two weeks for around 2500 workers. This work requires a high level of financial accountability, problem-solving, and knowledge of government processes. I have been with the City for 9 years. I also bring years of grassroots organizing, labor organizing, legislative advocacy, and community engagement.

Work with residents and city staff to identify and prioritize Shannon Hills’ most urgent infrastructure needs, particularly roads, drainage, flooding, and wastewater. Through my organizing work I’ve built relationships with organizations and professionals outside Arkansas who may be able to bring help to our community. I would use those connections to bring qualified professionals in to assess our infrastructure needs and identify potential solutions, without adding unnecessary costs to taxpayers. I would work with the city's public works department to develop a clear plan for addressing the most urgent problems and pursuing state and federal funding where available.
