My 28 years of service as a Federal Agent with the U.S. Secret Service taught me the importance of careful listening, respect for every person who comes before the court, and decisions grounded in the facts and the law not in emotion, pressure, or personal relationships. As a Justice of the Peace, I believe fairness, impartiality, patience, integrity, and compassion are essential to the proper administration of justice. Every person who enters my courtroom deserves to be heard and treated with dignity and respect. I take that responsibility seriously. I am committed to applying the law equally

As Justice of the Peace, I will ensure the office operates efficiently, professionally, and with the highest standards of integrity. My 28 years of service as a federal agent taught me the importance of preparation, accountability, attention to detail, and following established laws and procedures. I will make sure cases are handled promptly and fairly, records and court procedures are maintained accurately, and everyone who comes before the court is treated with dignity and respect. I will listen carefully, review the facts and applicable law, and make decisions based upon law and evidence

I would ensure that every person who enters my courtroom is treated equally, fairly, with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, financial situation, or circumstances. Equal access to justice means making sure people understand the process, have an opportunity to be heard, and are treated with patience and professionalism. My courtroom will be a place where everyone is heard, everyone is respected, and everyone receives the same fair and impartial treatment

I’m a lifelong Colorado County resident, small business owner, husband and father, and I’ve spent decades serving my community. Owning a business has taught me responsibility, problem-solving, and how to work with people from all walks of life. As Justice of the Peace, I’ll listen to everyone, follow the law, and treat each person fairly and impartially. I’ll complete all required training and continue learning from the experienced clerks and other Justices of the Peace in the county.

I will be a hands-on Justice of the Peace. I will complete all required training, work closely with the experienced clerks and other Justices of the Peace, and be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the office. I will maintain a regular presence in the office and be available on call as scheduled after hours. My goal is to make sure the office operates efficiently, responsibly, and serves the people of Precinct 3 well.

Everyone who enters my court will be treated with dignity and respect. I will listen to everyone, show no favoritism, and approach every case with patience and an open mind. My decisions will be based on the facts and the law, regardless of who someone is or who they know. Everyone who comes before my court deserves the same opportunity to be heard and to be treated fairly and impartially.

I have over 20 years law enforcement experience in the State of Texas, with the majority of that time being a Criminal Investigator. My career began as a patrolman in Columbus Texas in 1987. I believe my law enforcement background helps me with the duties as a JP by giving me a good understanding of the rule of law. I also believe that someone that has been raised in this County, and particularly has spent many years in this precinct, has the advantage of knowing a vast majority of the constituents personally, and knows family situations that can have a bearing on judicial matters.

I will administer justice fairly, based the severity of the case, whether civil or criminal.

Any person who enters my court room in a criminal matter will be considered innocent until proven guilty. I intend to hear both sides of any civil case, and base any decision I make on not only fact, but will consider extenuating circumstances that may have an impact on a ruling.
