I am hoping to be elected to a city council position for the city of Gravette. My desire to do this solely comes from being involved in the community on a daily basis, and seeing the issues that citizens have going unheard and unanswered. I hope to bring a level of engagement with the public that will help them understand how to get more involved with the functions of the city and the aid in guiding them to finding solutions to their issues. I personally do not feel like enough is being done by the current leadership to achieve a better overall standard for the community.
Gravette is my hometown. I went to school here all of my life, and since that time I have taken several different businesses in the town under my management. I am familiar with the functions of the the city government from my experiences with those businesses, as well as a large amount of dealings with permitting and other construction oriented aspects of it as well. For over a decade now, I have been on several different sides of the equation when it comes to interacting with the local government, and feel like I can help to make changes that will benefit not only current citizens and businesses, but those looking to be a part of Gravette in the future as well.
I hope to personally engage the public with all means available to me to get them in front of the council to voice their concerns. I want to show them that expressing frustrations in private or on the internet will not change things, and that engaging with the local officials is not something that should be difficult or intimidating. We are there to be their voice, and make decisions based on what the community decides.
