Listening to the concerns of the citizens of Centerton.
Help bring those concerns before the City Council.
Focus City government to those concerns.
Provide fiscal guidance as we enter a very stressed next couple of years.
Help stimulate growth of the commercial base in Centerton and hence the tax revenue for Centerton.
I am the newest resident of Centerton, AR on the ballot. Beginning in early 2022 I began attending the City Council, Utility Board, Planning Commission and in 2024 the Chamber of Commerce Board meetings plus the monthly Coffee with the Mayor. Since late 2024 I have been a Board Member of the Chamber. I attend not only as an observer but also as a participant and active speaker.
I bring 40 years of public company financial analysis and interviews.
Mayor Edwards describes me as "a numbers guy".
My focuses have been on opening access to participate for citizens of Centerton, enhance efficiency at our Utilities and finally and most importantly to stimulate commercial growth and sales tax revenue.
The answer depends on what I accomplish before taking office.
I began a focus on improving the "financial water loss rates" with the Utility Commission in 2025. For the prior 2 years the utility had purchased but billed(lost) over 40% of the water purchased. My goal was for them to focus on remediating those losses which they have focussed on 2026.
Participation opportunities at the Planning Commission had been blocked by the "no term limits" in their By Laws. When they recently submitted updated By Laws for approval to the City Council, I spoke out against approving. The Council agreed and eventually 12 resumes were submitted and two new members approved.
Next will be greater access to the Utility Board through webcasting their meetings.
