Farmington Mayor
The mayor serves as the chief executive officer of the city. The mayor oversees daily city operations, works with department leaders, presides over City Council meetings, helps prepare and administer the city budget, and ensures that ordinances and policies are carried out properly.
Just as importantly, the mayor should listen to residents, communicate openly, work respectfully with the City Council, and plan for Farmington’s future. The mayor must protect essential services, support city employees, use taxpayer dollars responsibly, and provide steady leadership as the community grows.
As President and CEO of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, a small-business owner, and director of the Farmington Farmers Market, I have experience leading organizations, managing limited resources, developing programs, and building partnerships. I work directly with residents, businesses, nonprofits, schools, volunteers, and public officials. I listen, research the facts, bring people together, solve problems, and follow through. I am also expanding my knowledge of economic development and long-term planning through the UCA Community Development Pipeline Program.
My first priority will be improving communication and coordination within City Hall and between the city and its residents. I will meet with department leaders, City Council members, and commission chairs to review current projects, immediate needs, unresolved concerns, and upcoming decisions. I will then provide consistent, plain-language updates about major projects, city finances, and issues affecting residents. Better communication will improve accountability, rebuild trust, and help us plan responsibly for Farmington’s future.
