As a practicing attorney for the past 21 years, I’ve dedicated myself to our community both professionally and personally. I’ve helped families navigate the legal system and counseled people through difficult situations. Meaningful justice requires experience and recognizing the circumstances affecting people’s lives in the courtroom and community. As the proud past President of the Roseville Optimist Club and a member of the Fraser First Booster Club, Goodfellows and Lions, I have dedicated myself to making my community a better place for all our citizens. I hope to continue my service as Judge.
I would ensure that the law is applied equally and fairly to all who come before me. Running an efficient courtroom is imperative to respecting people's time. Access to justice through technology enhancements would certainly benefit litigants and the court. I'd also seek to expand access to treatment courts and recovery programs.
Property foreclosures are handled at the Circuit Court level in Macomb County. District Courts certainly play a role in absentee landlords and I believe judges are charged with following the law and making sure people are afforded the protections that the law provides.
I'm certainly a proponent of treatment courts. Throughout my two decades of practice, I've seen the positive impact and benefit this type of programming can have for clients. As a member of the board for Macomb County Community Mental Health, I'm fortunate to have knowledge and access to the type of programming available throughout the county.
