I want to establish a new park for our growing community that now includes more kids than ever. They deserve somewhere they can play safely in their own neighborhood.
I would also love to get more events going in our downtown area. We have a beautiful spot by the library to host outdoor events and I would love to help establish more events there.
Helping establishing a community garden is also on my list of things I would like to see happen while I’m in office. The committee has already started the conversation and I would love to be an active member of this initiative.
I have worked in process improvement and project management for over a decade in my career and I plan on bringing those skills to the table. I believe that the only constant is change and that we need to be open to change in order to improve our systems. I think it is important to always be looking for ways to improve and do better than we did before. Our village cannot afford for money to be spent in places that it doesn’t need to be spent and if there is a way to make things more efficient, we should be willing to put in the work to do so.
I am already a very active member on our local Facebook sites and I use this try and keep village members informed about what’s happening and give them resources to get questions answered. We also have a relatively new village website that I also promote to anyone that wants to know more about what’s going on. I will also be canvassing door to door soon to try and meet as many of the village members as I can before November.
