Interested in making sure that all students achieve success through resource allocation, opportunities, and programs. Being a grandmother and active community member, who enjoys being involved at school qualify me to be trustee.
The most positive characteristics and qualities of the school district are the Peer To Peer program, PALS, National Honor Society tutoring, and a variety of programs to fit all varieties of interest. The opportunities for improvements would be supporting teachers and providing a variety of professional development to staff members so every student achieves success.
Exposing children at a young age to a broader scope of career and job opportunities outside of the typical pathways. Second, making sure parents are notified early on if a student is having trouble academically. Third, accessing parents skills and talents in programs and extracurricular activities at school for students.
Diversity and inclusion are two most prevalent issues facing students in the schools today. All students need to feel valued and heard, and every teacher and staff member needs to be open for helpful conversations.

I am running for school board because I believe our community is best served by education. Education is the key to happiness and success. Our children deserve the best of what we have, so that we can prepare them to do better than we did in the future.
I believe that the most positive quality of our current school district is the team of educators that work with our students. The connections and relationships that our staff and administrators make with our children is fundamental to their success.

The opportunities for improvement are continuing the work that we are doing with our bond initiatives. Our students and staff deserve to have buildings, classrooms and auxiliary spaces that match and enhance their educational experience.
I believe that parents need to be an extension of the classroom, and vice versa. Staff and parents should be working in concert with each other to ensure the needs of the students are met. I would work to promote the opportunity for more parent and staff involvement.
The biggest safety issue facing our schools is inclusion and tolerance. When students feel like they don't belong, or are cast out, the potential for safety issues increases dramatically.
