I am honestly not really experienced. I am a 23 years old renter, who is living paycheck to paycheck struggling to survive. I just wanted to make sure that the people after me don’t have to suffer the same stress. I know I have big dreams but I also have concrete plans with people who back them. I have watched in other cities that success can happen but only to those who are willing to make it happen. I want success for Mount Pleasant, I promise to fight for it everyday, elected or not.
Firstly, I am going to establish a commuters loop around the city that stops downtown, near grocery stores and other services. Secondly, I will be working with unions to drive in more high paying union backed jobs. Growing our borders is key to sustainability. My next goal is to work with communities that want to be annexed into MP, to grow our economic and housing capacities. Using that, I want to bring in more affordable homes, and finally fight private equity from buying and raising prices.

As a podiatrist, small-business owner, and millennial, I bring a unique perspective to local government. My career has taught me to listen, solve problems, manage a business, and advocate for others. As a business owner, I understand the importance of supporting local businesses and encouraging economic growth. As a millennial, I understand today’s struggles with soaring costs and housing affordability. I want to help build a community where residents and businesses can succeed.
I hope to make Mount Pleasant more connected, affordable, and economically vibrant. I want to improve public transportation, make it easier to start and grow businesses, and address vacant storefronts on Mission Street. I also want stronger collaboration between the City, CMU, local hospitals, and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe to create opportunities in education, healthcare, economic development, and community investment. Together, we can build a stronger, more affordable Mount Pleasant.

What unique experience qualifies you to hold this office?
As a lifelong resident, local business owner, and Nurse Practitioner running MI Primary Care, my deep roots in Mt. Pleasant uniquely qualify me for this office. Having raised two Mt. Pleasant High School graduates and served on the Goodrow Fund Board of Directors, I’ve seen our community’s needs firsthand. My career is built on a calling to help people, and serving as a City Commissioner allows me to bring that voice to our city.
What unique experience qualifies you to hold this office? As a longtime member of this community, my goal is to serve as a bridge between residents and City Hall. On the commission, I will be dedicated to fostering a culture of transparency and active listening. Whether engaging with students, long-time residents, business owners, or families, I want to ensure every perspective is heard at the decision-making table. Mt. Pleasant is a special place to live, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves

When my family and I were deciding
which location to move to 20+ years ago I used the following criteria to make my determination. Crime, educational opportunities and, cost of living.
When my youngest was getting prepared to graduate for high school and leaving for college, I was faced with the choices of either staying here in Mount Pleasant or moving elsewhere. My criteria for my decision evolved to quality of life, cost-of-living and the value of staying here or moving another area.
Mount Pleasant like many other cities, has seen it’s share of population decline, struggling business environments, and housing issues. Yet it also has and provides excellent opportunities for growth and revitalization. As a current commissioner, I see myself as and wish to continue to be a steward of the resources we have to retain and improve on. The resources to revitalize and improve the quality of life for all residents that reside here will also attract new businesses and residents.
Background/experience
I have a very diverse background with work experience in manufacturing, insurance, service, and construction. It gives me a broad scope of the complexities that go into the decisions made at the dais. Being a father most of my life, I'm also a mentor
Education
I graduated from MPPS and briefly attended classes at Mid and CMU before pursuing a degree in Network and Communication Management online. Since then, my education is as diverse as my work history.

My experience is one that represents Mt. Pleasant. I was born at CMCH and graduated from MPPS. I grew up in a working class family, fathered young, and grew up fast. I've worn many hats to make ends meet. The experiences in those positions gives me a unique perspective to the moving pieces that make a city run. From organizing aid, to fighting for rights, to lobbying for housing, to curating concerts for locals, I show up for our community. My experience is that we make change together.
I hope to complete and further the work I've started if I'm re-elected. Establishing rights and creating opportunities for the majority should be the goal of any local municipality, and that's what I aim to do. The tenants' rights committee I've worked to establish is geared to provide support for the many renters in town. I have also introduced a Responsible Contractors Ordinance which empowers our municipality and boosts opportunities for local tradespeople.

I am dedicated to making Mount Pleasant a better place to work and live. I have a background in leadership from leading midsized teams to running large productions. While also working full time and running our business I am involved in the community. I am co-leading Downtown Association meetings creating a more connected culture in the downtown community. I am a member of the Broadway Theatre board. I am vice chair of the downtown TIFA board. There is more but I am out of room.
I want Mount Pleasant to be the vibrant community that I saw during the Market for the Arts/250th celebration this summer year-round. A place where the community comes together. As a commissioner, I will work to come up with solutions that support small businesses, create good paying jobs and bring money into the city. Win or lose I am here to make Mount Pleasant the best it can be. I want others to see what I see in this town.
Background/experience
Current Mayor & City Commissioner for the City of Mount Pleasant; Full-time Credit Union Financial Service Representative
Education
Bachelor's of Science from Central Michigan University
I was elected to the Mt. Pleasant City Commission in 2022. Since 2025 I’ve had the unique privilege to serve as its first Gen Z Mayor. While I may be the first, I will not be the last. These past four years I have put in countless hours to make Mt Pleasant a more sustainable community, to make available new resources to our residents, and worked to implement more effective oversight, increased transparency, and better community engagement. I'm asking for your vote because the work continues.
I want to use my time on the City Commission to be an advocate for those in our community without the resources to do so themselves. I want to expand our City government's capacity to tackle problems and hear from different voices by building up our civic infrastructure. And I want to continue finding ways to make our city more environmentally and financially sustainable. If nothing else, I want people to have healthy debate and disagreements and know that Mt Pleasant is still their home.
