I am motivated to run for Roseville Community School Board because I want to make sure every student in our district has the opportunity to succeed. As a lifelong Roseville resident, a Roseville graduate, and a parent of a Roseville student, our schools have always been deeply personal to me. I want to make sure Roseville remains a place where families are proud to send their children to school.

I believe our school board has an important responsibility to ask the difficult questions and make thoughtful decisions about the future of our district. I care about using data and evidence to understand what is working, where we can improve, and how we can make responsible and transparent decisions with the resources we have.

Ultimately, I want to help make our schools stronger while making sure we remain focused on what matters most: our students. I am proud of the work we have done so far, and I want to continue being part of the thoughtful, accountable leadership our district deserves.
I believe the primary issues facing the school board are improving student achievement, maintaining financial responsibility, supporting our educators and staff, and keeping our parents and community informed and engaged.

I would address these issues by using data to identify where students need additional support, making thoughtful and sustainable financial decisions, listening to our educators, and holding ourselves accountable for the results of the decisions we make. I believe in setting measurable goals, evaluating whether our programs are producing results, and adjustin when necessary. Most importantly, I believe every decision should keep students at the center and focus on making our district stronger for the long term.
I do believe our school district has an adequate safety plan in place for all of our school buildings, with multiple layers of security that proactively help mitigate potential threats. This is especially important to me as a parent, because my own child is in these buildings every day.

I appreciate that our district takes a multifaceted approach to safety, including strengthening our buildings physically and using technology to help expedite emergency response when needed. At the same time, I believe our responsibility goes beyond responding to threats. We should continue advocating for meaningful action at every level to keep our schools safe and work toward preventing violence and dangerous situations from occurring in the first place.
I am incredibly proud of the investments our district has made in Career and Technical Education. Our Hospitality Management program will be using a state-of-the-art food truck this year, and we have new properties planned where our Building Trades students will build a house. Our Machine Trades, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Auto Technology, and Woodworking programs provide students with opportunities to earn real-world certifications and gain valuable entry-level experience. Our Business, Marketing, and Accounting programs help prepare young entrepreneurs for success, while our technology programs introduce students to areas like Drones, Coding, and Web Design. I believe there is something for every student to prepare for their futures.

I want to help youth achieve success in this new era of education. A child can achieve anything with an education.
The School Board is dealing with 1) rapid enrollment growth that strains facilities, 2) teacher moral, 3) student safety, and 4) $120 million dollar construction bond. 1) rapid growth must be accommodated with appropriate teaching staff. We must change the current hiring structure to allow more qualified teachers in the district. 2) in order to increase teacher moral and allow them to teach we must develop a comprehensive discipline plan that address disruptive behavior. 3) we must create an environment that promotes unity, togetherness, and inclusiveness. 4). Construction monies must be monitored and appropriated with the most bang for our buck.
At the present time, all school safety plans should be reviewed and reapproved.
At the present, the school district can do a better job addressing students not college bound. I have a comprehensive plan to develop a apprenticeship program that address this need and focus on skills.
