1. Why are you running for the Board of Education?
I am running to help build on the strengths of our school district and support continued improvement in academic opportunities for all students. Parsippany already offers many strong programs. My focus is on continuous improvement. I believe our schools should prepare students for a wide range of college, career, and technical pathways while maintaining strong financial stewardship. I want to contribute a thoughtful perspective focused on student success, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, transparency, and decisions that strengthen our schools and community.
My professional experience has strengthened my skills in leadership, financial decision-making, technology, problem-solving, and collaboration. Academically I carry MS in STEM field. I believe a board member's responsibility is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, review facts and data, and work constructively with fellow board members and district leadership. I value accountability, transparency, and respectful communication, and I would bring a practical, open-minded approach to decisions affecting students, educators, taxpayers, and our community.
Providing a quality education, supporting effective educators, and respecting taxpayers are all important responsibilities of the Board. I would support careful evaluation of spending to ensure resources are directed toward instruction, essential student services, facilities, and other priorities that provide meaningful value. At the same time, we should support our educators with the resources and professional environment they need to succeed. Responsible budgeting means continually looking for efficiencies while protecting the educational opportunities our students deserve.
Rather than beginning with predetermined curriculum changes, I believe we should regularly evaluate programs using student needs, performance data, educational standards, and input from educators and administrators. I support strong core academics along with opportunities in STEM, responsible AI and technology literacy, financial literacy, arts, athletics, and college and career pathways. The goal should be to provide rigorous, well-rounded and relevant learning opportunities that prepare students for a variety of paths after graduation.

I am running for the Parsippany Board of Education to build on our school district's strengths and support continued success for all students. As a parent, educator, engineer, and long-time Parsippany resident, I believe our schools should prepare students for college, careers, and life while maintaining strong financial stewardship.
I want to contribute a thoughtful perspective focused on student achievement, transparency, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and decisions that strengthen our schools and community.
I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from NJIT, with more than 20 years of experience developing innovative healthcare technologies that improve patient outcomes. As a Senior Staff Engineer, I have contributed to the development of life-changing medical devices and hold 14 patents. I was honored with the Jeffrey Sherman Life Changers Award, one of BD's highest recognitions for innovation in healthcare technology. I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at NJIT and have twice been nominated for the NJIT Excellence in Teaching Award. I have consistently received outstanding student evaluations, am highly rated on RateMyProfessors.com, and was recognized as one of the most popular Mechanical Engineering professors in the United States. I believe a Board of Education member's responsibility is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, review facts and data objectively, and work collaboratively to make informed decisions that best serve students, educators, taxpayers, and the community. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and student success.

As a 12-year Parsippany resident and parent of two children who attended our schools, I care deeply about the future of our schools and our community. I am running because I want every student to have the opportunity to succeed and be prepared for the future.
Listening to parents, students and teachers is essential to making thoughtful decisions for our schools. I want to support the people who work with our children every day and make decisions that put students first.
I also believe we should spend taxpayer dollars wisely, invest in what helps students most, and be open about the choices we make.
I am running to bring my experience as a parent, education and learning leader, finance professional, community volunteer to the Board and to serve our community with a fresh perspective.
My professional experience combines education, learning, technology, finance and leadership. I began my career in education and later moved into education technology and learning leadership.
Today, I serve as a Vice President of Learning and Talent Development at a global financial institution, where I help people build the skills they need to succeed in a changing world. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and an MBA in Finance.
As a Parsippany parent, I have experienced our schools firsthand. Through my work with PTA, community activities and as a robotics coach, I have worked with families, educators and local organizations.
I bring a practical, analytical and collaborative approach to decision-making. As a Board Member, I would listen to different perspectives, ask thoughtful questions, understand the tradeoffs and use evidence to make decisions that serve our students and community.
Good teachers are essential to strong schools, and I believe we need to create an environment where excellent teachers want to stay and grow.
At the same time, I have a responsibility to families who pay taxes. I believe we should spend taxpayer dollars wisely, protect investments that directly benefit students and teachers, and regularly review whether our spending is achieving the results we expect.
We should always look for responsible ways to manage costs without compromising the quality of education.
My goal is simple: Strong Students. Supported Teachers. Wise Use of Taxpayer Dollars.
I would not change the curriculum simply for the sake of change. My priority would be to make sure every student has strong academic fundamentals while developing the skills needed to succeed in the future.
I also believe students should have opportunities to explore their interests through programs such as the STEM, arts, music and athletics.
As technology continues to change the world, I believe schools should help students develop strong digital skills and use technology responsibly.
Most importantly, I want to ensure our district offers a high-quality, forward-looking curriculum that is among the best for our students. Decisions should be based on student needs, evidence and the expertise of our teachers, with parents kept informed.
My goals as a board member include being a voice for justice, fairness, and equity, and bringing a strong, evidence-based eye to district oversight.
I have over twenty years of experience as an educator (mostly higher ed), expertise in public policy analysis, and now, three years of service on the Board of Education. I hold a PhD in Political Science. I am also a parent of a young student in the district.
This is a constant struggle made harder by policy decisions that happen at the state and federal levels. I advocate taking an approach to balance that emphasizes long-term sustainability as our guiding principle in striking this difficult balance.
I strongly support listening to educators as the experts in the curricula in their areas. I think Parsippany's curriculum is strong, and should continue to be developed in line with emerging scientific and social understanding of the world and 21st century skills.
