Majority of my plan to address these challenges are by either signing onto existing or drafting legislation where none exist, create local coalitions within the district, and securing funding for elected officials working to make their districts better.
Affordability of: Housing, Food, Health Insurance, Utilities.
Accountability
Police Culture and Brutality: reform our standards of Law Enforcement.
ICE: Abolish, Prosecute those responsible, and replace with the ADU.
Politicians: End Citizens United, Remove corporate money from Politics, Ban Foreign spending on campaigns, Ban individual Stock trading, Hold the Epstein Class actually accountable.
Investment in the Youth
Create legislation that brings federal dollars to Community Centers/projects as a vital service and public good much like the USPS and Law enforcement gets funded. These NEED to be essential services because the Streets are recruiting for worse and we need to be recruiting for better
Reduce Food prices by breaking up monopolies, unfair market manipulation amongst corporations, and creating Citizen owned Grocery stores where the profits generated can go directly back to the town/city in which hosts them to Improve the city/town vs a private bank account.
Citizen owned Housing developments. This is a critical need of America and so should be owned by the citizens and the citizens should be beneficiaries. The cool part about this, is that the Citizens will have say into their Housing because it is owned by them. These developments would be able to have rent caps, or rent hike caps; standard of living standards, and more. The profits of these units could be used to build even MORE housing units and/or improve the city
For the Lowering of Utility Costs, we need policies that make use of existing technologies in innovative ways that have been proven effective at enhancing our grid and limiting reliability of foreign influences (i.e. Oil and Gas)
A Majority of the complications around healthcare and mental health services being affordable, accessible, and easier to navigate surround the Private Health Insurance industry. I would move to see that sector removed as the main stay way of dealing with healthcare and instead proceed with a Medicare for all / Single payer system.
This would remove the hassles of the middleman and illegal practices of playing doctor that Private Health Insurance companies often do. Imagine a country where if you need a service and a doctor sends you to get a procedure/scan done, you can just go. No copays, deductibles, no premiums, and no insurance telling you what you need to do first, just go and get the appointment done.
ICE needs to be abolished, prosecuted, and replaced with the ADU. There needs to be better pathways to citizenship and residencies. That is accomplished by having better, secured, efficient ports of entry, and more immigration judges and lawyers.
Federal immigration enforcement is a duty of the federal government and should be handled as such. I do not believe extensive involvement by state or local government institutions should be doing the job of federal officials which ultimately take away from their own jobs and duties to local communities. I instead would like to see it continue where the only time local or state enforcement gets involved with federal is when there is a violent offender in custody or being searched for.
I am First and Foremost Pro-Choice. Every woman, EVERY person, deserves to be able to have full autonomy over their own body full stop.
We know that banning Abortions does not lead to a reduction of abortions, it leads; to unsafe abortions; expensive out of state procedures; now leads to arrests and legal punishment; and leads to unwanted pregnancies causing concern for the safety of the child.
The way I am Pro-Life is because I would like to see more people WANT to have children and if they don't that its 100% their right. One of the biggest obstacles to having children among those who want to but don't is the lack of financial support. We have seen in the past that when the economy is good and there are strong safety nets in society, the birth rate goes up and abortions go down.
I would like to create an ideal scenario where partners who want to start a family can do so and be able to focus on raising their kids instead of struggling to survive.
To address some of the root causes to climate change, that being human activity, I would like to see less dependence on Oil and Gas while promoting other means of electricity generation.
I would like to see smarter development rather than overdevelopment that removes natural resilience to flooding. We have a habit of needless Sprawling developments and not enough emphasis on using what has already been cleared.
Stronger housing codes. America is often criticized for having paper and stick homes that get wiped out by storms, I think that is something that should be addressed. The greatest indicator of whether a neighborhood or building will withstand time is a heavy focus on Storm Water and Water management.
I would love to see Voting become easier and more secure.
Same day Voter Registration, Expanded mail-in ballot access, Voter work protections for in-person voting.
Rank-Choice Voting would be a system I back, due to the ability for votes to not be “wasted” in that system.
In a move to compromise with a large base of Americans, I would support my version of the Save act which includes a 5-10 year implementation, and would cover all costs and processing associated with proper identifications needs as it relates to voting. I understand Voter Fraud is not some kind of crisis, but a large portion of Americans do want more secure election and being as I agree with secured elections, I believe we should do so in a way that does not impose a voting tax or obstacles that can prevent voting.

The most important challenges facing our country are affordability and a lack of integrity in government. The so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” ushered in the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the 1% in our country’s history. It cut SNAP benefits and Medicare while lowering taxes for the rich. This bill, along with President Trump’s tariffs, are adding to our national deficit and passing that burden to working families. That bill passed by one vote, Jeff Van Drew’s vote. I want to end the tax breaks on billionaires and large corporations and enforce tax policies that ensure that everyone pays their fair share. I will support legislation that protects the rights of working families and keeps their hard earned money in their pockets. We need an end to this system that allows politicians to enrich themselves rather than represent their constituents. I will work to ban members of Congress from trading stocks and provide more transparency in government spending.
I plan on lowering the cost of living by addressing hidden fees, reducing taxes on working families, and ensuring fair wages. As Mayor of Cape May, I saw firsthand how important small businesses are to supporting local economies and creating jobs. South Jersey is built on small businesses, and as this district’s representative, I plan to champion small businesses. The housing crisis has gotten completely out of hand. Young people cannot afford to live in South Jersey, we are forcing them to leave and go elsewhere. South Jersey needs to keep its bright young people here but instead we are hitting them with higher prices and unlivable wages. We need to look at the multitude of abandoned and run down properties in South Jersey and do the work to allow families to move in. By increasing federal funding in restoring our existing houses and new development, we can create jobs while providing homes for families.
Healthcare is a human right. Here in the United States, we spend more on healthcare than any other nation yet still fail to provide for people. Our healthcare system is far too expensive and too difficult to navigate. I plan on supporting Medicare for All and funding it through fairer corporate taxes. The exorbitant price of healthcare is in no small part due to the cost of medicine, we need to expand Medicare’s power to negotiate prescription drug prices so that people can afford what they need. Additionally, we need to provide more mental health services and ensure that they are covered. Corporate greed has been driving up the costs of medical care for decades. We need to reform the profit-seeking behavior in healthcare and focus on providing for patients. Our healthcare system should be one that people can trust, rely on, and afford.
The United States is and has always been a nation of immigrants. We need to provide more legal pathways to citizenship for people looking to provide a better life for themselves and their families. Immigrants make substantial contributions to our economy and are an important pillar of our communities. Local and state government institutions and police forces should be focused on keeping their communities safe and prosperous, not on coordinating with ICE to deport undocumented people. Coordination and communication is important, but let's let local police prioritize public safety rather than immigration issues. We need to demilitarize our immigration law enforcement and ensure that people are treated with dignity rather than subjecting them to violent confrontation.
Decisions on reproductive healthcare belong to patients, not to politicians. The government should protect the rights of citizens and not violate their privacy and autonomy by meddling in their healthcare decisions. I plan to protect access to abortion and reproductive care and codify these rights into federal law. Access to care needs to be easier and I will work to support and create clinics in underserved areas.
South Jersey's environment is diverse and beautiful, from our farmland, to pinelands, to wetlands, to our shores. Clean energy is both an environmental and economic issue. We need to utilize all of our resources to harness renewable energy. I will push for federal incentives for energy-efficient homes and businesses to protect our environment and save money for working families. We need federal investment in coastal resiliency, wetland and dune restoration, and infrastructure to protect our communities. I will fight to preserve South Jersey's beaches, wetlands, and fishing industry. I will support initiatives for clean air and clean water. Future generations deserve a healthy environment.
Safe and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. It is abhorrent that our leaders today want to strip away the rights of voters and build a larger barrier for people to participate in the democratic process. We need to secure our elections and expand opportunities for people to vote early and vote by mail. Our current system does not allow for fair and equal representation and I plan to end partisan gerrymandering, remove corporate influence and dark money from politics, and ensure that voting rights are protected.
