The Mayor of Manville and the Borough Council are responsible for creating resolutions and ordinances in Manville. All Council positions are elected at-large on a partisan basis as part of the November general election. The Borough Council consists of six members elected to serve three-year terms on a staggered basis, with two seats coming up for election each year in a three-year cycle.

Manville’s major challenges include flooding, tax stabilization, transparency, and resident engagement. If elected, I would aggressively pursue grant opportunities and embrace technology to improve accountability and communication. This includes livestreaming meetings, better tracking of projects and resident concerns, and making it easier for residents to stay informed and involved in decisions before they are made.
I do not believe a data center belongs in Manville. We are a very small borough with limited land, and development should fit the needs and character of our community. Our available space should be used in ways that provide the greatest long term benefit to our residents.
Flooding has a tremendous impact on quality of life in Manville, and we cannot simply wait for outside agencies to solve the problem. We should focus on measures within our control, including improved stormwater management, rain gardens, native water-absorbing plants, and additional trees and green spaces where appropriate. I would also prioritize keeping our town clean, addressing traffic and railroad concerns, stabilizing taxes, and keeping our children safe with prioritizing walking routes.
Manville has an affordable housing obligation that must be met, but it should be done responsibly. I support using appropriate redevelopment opportunities, including Main Street, and incorporating mixed-income and mixed-use development where possible. We can meet our obligation while also revitalizing our downtown and protecting Manville’s long-term interests.
