Public education has been a priority for Auburn residents, and is rapidly expanding. What, if any, changes to the current school board system would you suggest are needed to support Auburn City Schools going into the future.

Do you think Auburn should adopt stricter regulations before it considers any additional data center proposals? If so, what changes would you suggest?

I am not on the August 25 election ticket, as the Ward 6 seat is unopposed. I have served as the Ward 6 representative since winning the election in 2018 and again in 2022. This is the first time for many years that Ward 6 is unopposed.

Since immigrating to the US in 1994, I have worked as a public servant. Representing the cares and concerns of my neighbors is a natural extension of my professional life as a 1st responder.

Traffic congestion and infrastructure maintenance as identified in the most recent citizen survey are the primary concerns of many Auburn residents. I will continue to support the work of planning and engineering to find realistic solutions to these issues

I am generally supportive of the approach to growth and development. Auburn is recognized as a successful community. We have an outstanding economic development team, who regularly announce major international investments in our city, bringing in high-paying jobs. Our planning department is initiating a more flexible approach to development proposals, by way of PUDs (Google it) and Zoning Ordinance review. I will continue to advocate for greenway connectivity, multi-use paths and bike-ways throughout the city.

CoA's budget priorities reflect the ongoing results of our citizen surveys. I cannot speak with authority regarding our revenue structure, however, I remain supportive of the talented staff in our finance department who are routinely being recognized as outstanding stewards of our taxpayers' dollars.

APD and AFD have my utmost trust, respect, and support. I could see a place for social services liaison staff, much like our neighboring friends in Opelika.

I am happy to engage in this conversation. Data centers are a relatively new use, and I am open to discussing the issue.

Online streaming of CC, PC, BoZA, meetings was one of the first changes I helped to bring about upon my election to CC in 2018. My social media platform shares EVERYTHING I am legally able to share with Auburn citizens. The City of Auburn's media relations staff do an excellent job of keeping the public informed of the city's business.
