My unique qualifications are not unique. I've had to deal with normal life. I'm presently retired and my retirement job is as a pot washer. I'm a worker bee. I was the treasurer of the Franklin Square Homeowners Association and a member of the Hunger Mountain Co-op council for several years. I was a justice of the Peace for two terms. I was also on the board of adjustment at one time and the design review board. I've spent most of my working life in retail, mostly food retail. I also volunteered at the State of Vermont Biomonitoring Lab. I'm also a graduate of the University of Vermont in business and biology. I also graduated from Vermont Technical College with a degree in Architecture and Building Technology.
I view my job is to learn as much as possible about the case at hand and ask as many questions as allowed, something like Colombo (this is a television reference). The job involves learning and processing information to come to a decision, not necessarily to be popular. I love finding information. The job also involves a lot of listening and paying attention.

I expect to spend a lot of time going over the books, or the computer files, as the records now filed. I'll be looking for more frugal alternatives and rooting out any graft. If the books are all square and on the up and up, the people involved will have no problems with me, otherwise there will be problems, unpleasant as that will be. At present, I'm unfamiliar with the opportunities for cost savings. Finding them is part of the job. I will definitely keep myself busy. I don't have a picture of myself due to technical difficulties. This should be resolved soon.

I have over 15 years of experience preparing and administering government budgets and 20 years of non-profit accounting. I have prepared non- profit and municipal budgets. I am detail oriented and focus on each line item while working to achieve the effectiveness of the office.

In addition, I have over 30 years' experience as a federal investigator, I have analyzed facts and collected evidence to support a finding. As Division Administrator I reviewd the evidence collected to determine the facts and apply the appropriate tools to solve the problem.

I have experience in the justice system and hold tightly its basis in our country.
I have an established history of making the right decision, not the easy one. Civil or family proceedings will often be the only eperience people have with the courts and will be extremely stressful, not just with the outcomes but also with the process itself . Justice in America is meant to be blind, I will practice these ideals by being fair and impartial.
I believe in being proactive with capital budgeting. I created the first Capital Improvement Plan in Berlin because I saw firsthand how decisions were being made in a vacuum with no regard for the future.

We have beautiful buildings in Washington County to be maintained while being severely damaged in past floods. I have 20 years' experience in emergency management including working with FEMA on disaster recovery. Effectively leveraging partnerships utilizing grants and FEMA programs is needed to mitigate future risk to county buildings.
