Candidate For Office Vermont Senate Windsor County
I successfully purchased, operated and sold a small business. My skillset includes; accounting & budgeting, cash management, HR, and marketing. As an owner, I needed to wear many hats. This translates to being a good listener to all of the stakeholders involved with my company. Including, employees, customers, vendors and suppliers. I am able to create a goal and follow through!
One of the recurring high costs for education is the health insurance provided to the teachers and administrators. Vermont needs to relax the current laws created for a single payer system that never materialized, and create an economic environment where healthcare insurers can provide quality insurance at reasonable rates.
Vermont should relax some of the current laws, especially regarding Act 250, so that we can attract outside investment in our housing. At present we have a deficit of available housing, and costs have skyrocketed. There are existing housing programs that are working well, but they will require additional funding. I do not want to create additional tax burdens on working Vermonters, so if we can incentivize private investment it could be a win win for everyone.
