Description of office: The General Assembly is the legislative branch of government in Pennsylvania. It is composed of two houses: the Senate is the upper house, and the House of Representatives is the lower house. A majority vote in both houses is necessary to pass a law. The PA House of Representatives consists of 203 members representing one district each, with an equal number of constituents. Representatives must be at least 21 years old, have been a citizen and a resident of the state four years and a resident of their respective districts one year before their election, and shall reside in their respective districts during their terms of service. The House develops budget packages, makes taxation decisions, allocates spending, and passes laws (including redistricting in collaboration with the Senate). There are many issues facing the residents of the 32nd district. High costs of living, infrastructure needs and public transportation, the protection of reproductive rights and the need for liveable wage jobs, just to name a few.
Right now we are in a world where one political party is attempting to remove ways for Pennsylvanians to be able to have access at the ballot box. I do not want to see these changes occur. Until that party is no longer in charge of the Pennsylvania Senate, I believe we must be on the defense of the rights we currently have. We must keep our elections open and above board, while supporting free and fair elections, allowing everyone to vote and mail-in voting to continue.
The state budget process is far from perfect. We are one of the few divided legislatures in the nation, this results in diverging views on our budget, which often cause sticking points.
Yes, we should address the growth of Data Centers on a state level. Data Center resource usages often times go outside of just a singular municipality when they are built (for example, their energy consumption affects rate payers across the system), so we must regulate them on a larger scale.

That is a question we all face and our answers may differ but listening and understanding what people think without viewing it in our own bias is what everyone who represents us should do. Using that knowledge to better represent all the people in our communities and make decisions with that goal in mind is our elected representatives duty. Working to make our communities, state and nation better should be the reason we get elected.
I think that voter id makes senses considering that almost everything else we do requires some sort of id. The difficult part is in what ever is used all eligible voters have the ability to provide it.
The budget should be approved when it is supposed to be and our representatives should be held accountable if they fail to. Our representatives should treat the budget the same way they treat their personal budgets and work to make sure it can be paid for without undue pain to our communities.
I think sensible laws that are not excessive are useful but they should be based on current facts not opinions or the past.
