Description of office: The General Assembly is the legislative branch of government in Pennsylvania. It is composed of two houses: the Senate is the upper house, and the House of Representatives is the lower house. A majority vote in both houses is necessary to pass a law. The PA House of Representatives consists of 203 members representing one district each, with an equal number of constituents. Representatives must be at least 21 years old, have been a citizen and a resident of the state four years and a resident of their respective districts one year before their election, and shall reside in their respective districts during their terms of service. The House develops budget packages, makes taxation decisions, allocates spending, and passes laws (including redistricting in collaboration with the Senate). The most pressing issues I hear about are the rising cost of living, access to good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare and childcare, transportation, housing, and opportunities for young people. Many working families are doing everything right but still struggling to get ahead. As State Representative, I would fight for policies that raise wages, protect workers, expand access to affordable healthcare and childcare, invest in infrastructure and public transportation, and support community development. I also believe we must invest in youth programs and create pathways to careers so our young people can build successful futures without feeling they have to leave our communities.
I support making voting accessible, secure, and trustworthy. Every eligible voter should have a fair opportunity to participate, while strong safeguards protect the integrity of every ballot. I would support modernizing election systems, improving voter education, ensuring adequate staffing and resources for county election offices, and making voting accessible for seniors, people with disabilities, and working families. I also support strong, transparent security measures, bipartisan oversight, and reliable audits that protect against fraud and build public confidence. Our democracy works best when elections are both accessible and secure.
Pennsylvania families, schools, local governments, and service providers should not have to wait through unnecessary budget delays. I support a more transparent and accountable budget process with earlier negotiations, regular public updates, and stronger deadlines that encourage lawmakers to act before the fiscal year begins. The budget should be built around the needs of working people—not political gamesmanship. I would support greater transparency in budget negotiations and consequences for prolonged inaction that disrupts schools, human services, and local communities. Compromise is necessary, but the people of Pennsylvania deserve a government that does its job on time.
I believe Pennsylvania should establish clear statewide standards for data center development that protect our water, energy supply, environment, and communities. However, I do not support unnecessarily stripping municipalities of their ability to make reasonable zoning and land-use decisions under the Municipal Planning Code.
Data centers can bring investment and jobs, but local residents deserve a voice when major developments affect their infrastructure and quality of life. I would support a balanced approach: strong statewide environmental and energy standards, transparency, and coordination with local governments—while preserving meaningful local authority to address community-specific impacts.
