Biographical Information

Roughly one-third of the Tazewell County Board will be new after December. What skills and support will they need to be successful?

Over the past few years, we have seen County boards grapple with economic development projects that offer good financial returns but have also been met with strong community or special interest opposition. This includes solar farms, wind farms, carbon sequestration and, more recently, data centers. These issues have strong intersections: environmental policy; private property rights or NIMBY; public dissatisfaction; potential jobs and tax revenue; loss of farmland. How will you approach these complex issues

How do you balance rural and urban interests in Tazewell County which are sometimes in opposition to each other?

What are your top three priorities if elected to the Tazewell County Board?
