I am a lifelong Macomb County resident who was born, raised and educated here. Graduate of Lutheran High North and attended the University of Detroit. 6 year veteran of the US Navy as an Electronics Technician, advancing to the rank of E5 or ET2(SW). 4 year destroyer veteran who was a work center supervisor and held a Top Secret security clearance. 39 years of experience in IT/Telecommunications in the Automotive industry at EDS, Verizon, Chrysler and GM monitoring, maintaining and later managing corporate global communication networks. Rose to become a supervisor and manager of Network Ops teams at GM responsible for personal management, Incident and Problem management of complex issues and managing a large budget. Retired since 2024.
The overriding concern of township residents is future development of the township, in particular related to Hyperscale data centers and/or other commercial & industrial development. There is a strong desire in the community to retain the rural, agricultural and residential nature of the township.

Another huge issue are concerns regarding the conduct of the current board of Trustees and high level township employees in regards to negotiations and possible NDAs with real estate developers. The Township needs to implement a strict code of ethics to ban any such activities. I have grave concerns over issues such as the board voting themselves a substantial pay increase and missing payments to things like insurance policies for the township.
I would like to see continued and expanded development of the senior center and senior transportation working in conjunction with entities like MDOT. While currently OK they can always improve as we have an aging demographic. Continue improvement of our parks and recreation including walking and biking paths and possible connection to the Macomb Orchard Trail system. Working in conjunction with the Village of New Haven explore ways to improve and expand the township library. Sustain and expand programs related to youth reading via the library along with sports activities. Improve and enhance the township website based on citizen feedback. I plan on regular town hall meetings to hear residents concerns, feedback and suggestions.
I am proud to say that ever since I was old enough to vote in my first election in 1978 I have never missed the opportunity to exercise that important right! Prior to moving to this area I was a 20 year resident of Warren and was an active participant in community events and attending city council meetings. In my 21 years living in New Haven/Lenox township I have tried to be a regular attendee of all village and township board and planning meetings. I regularly attend and participate in events like the annual community dinner and community fireworks and other events. In 2024 I was elected as the Democratic Precinct Delegate for Precinct 3 which is the Village of New Haven, spending much time communicating with residents on their issues.

Primary issues facing Lenox Twp. is trust in our Government Leadership. Primarily over the building of AI Data Centers. To address this issue, just say "No" to building them as the residents have firmly stated.
Additional funding could be used in several ways: upgrade Police/Fire/Ems equipment, add street lighting to all intersections, improve Park and Recreation activities, have a system in place to receive and act on residents concerns.
I have worked 28 years on the Assessing Dept.'s Board of Review for Lenox Twp. I attend township meetings, and social gatherings. Also active as a facilitator for grief counseling program at my church. Lastly, I have been active in Macomb County's "Adopt a Highway" program for 25+ years.
