Recently retired, I enjoyed an accomplished career as an executive public servant specializing in local government leadership. I served communities ranging in size from 3,000 residents to more than 1 million, earning recognition for innovative leadership and an unwavering commitment to transparent, effective governance.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Public Administration from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. This May, I was honored as one of the 250 Champions of Public Service by the National Academy of Public Administration and Local Gov 250.
Parks and Recreational services are essential to a community’s vitality. I am seeking this position to help ensure that Holly Township’s parks are well maintained, effectively managed, and responsive to the needs of our residents. I am confident that my education and public service, position me well to serve as a Park Commissioner for Holly Township Parks & Recreation.
Three key priority issues facing the Holly Township Park Commission are as follows: (1) maintaining safe, quality park and recreational facilities, (2) advocating for funds needed to support increased maintenance and staffing needs, and (3) promoting sustainable, long-term care of natural resources.
As Park Commissioner, I would work to ensure that Holly Township parks are well funded, well maintained, and positioned to serve residents in the years to come. My focus would be on responsible management, strategic investments, and the development of policies that will preserve the quality, accessibility, and long-term care of our parks.

I currently serve as a Holly Township Parks Commissioner and am seeking election to continue improving our parks and recreational opportunities for residents.
I have a background in public service, information technology, and community engagement, including service with the U.S. Census Bureau and Holly Little League. Since joining the Parks Commission, I have focused on improving transparency, communication, and public access to information.
I believe residents deserve a parks system that is well-maintained, financially responsible, and accessible to everyone. I have worked to improve communication through social media, livestreaming, and development of a modern parks website.
I am running because I want to continue promoting our parks, increasing public involvement, and ensuring residents receive maximum value from their parks millage investment.
1. Increasing Public Awareness of Our Parks
Many residents are unaware of the recreational opportunities available in Holly Township. I support expanding outreach through our website, social media, community partnerships, and public events.
2. Transparency and Accessibility
Residents should have easy access to information about meetings, budgets, projects, and park operations. I support making information readily available online and improving communication between the Commission and the public.
3. Maintaining and Improving Park Facilities
Our parks are valuable community assets. I support responsible budgeting, long-term planning, grant opportunities, and infrastructure improvements that protect taxpayer investments while enhancing the experience for park users.
My goal is to keep our parks welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable for current and future generations.
