BBA - Public Administration
In October 2025, I was appointed to fill the Lenawee County Road Commissioner vacancy following the passing of Stan Wilson. During my first 8 months, I helped approve a balanced 2026-27 budget, invest in critical equipment, and establish policies that impact residents across the county.
With more than 25 years of experience in infrastructure, engineering, construction, and public administration, including over 20 years serving Adrian, I have dedicated my career to improving roads & bridges. In my current role, I work with all 83 MI counties, gaining valuable insight into best practices, fiscal responsibility, and effective governance
Many county roads are in disrepair because local road agencies have been underfunded for decades. As a Road Commissioner, my responsibility is to advocate aggressively for increased state and federal funding dedicated to local roads while ensuring every dollar is spent wisely. I will continue to work closely with county and township leaders to maximize available resources and prioritize projects based on safety, road condition, traffic volume, and long-term value. My goal is to make data-driven decisions that improve roads while being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.
I will continue to be responsive to all county residents.
Lenawee County is fortunate to have one of the most respected road commissions in Michigan, with a strong reputation for innovation, accountability, and maintaining some of the best roads in the state. The challenge is sustaining that success. The biggest issues facing the Road Commission today are funding and staffing. Construction costs continue to rise while available funding struggles to keep pace, making it difficult to preserve existing roads and improve those in poorer condition. As a Commissioner, I will advocate for funding, support policies to continue prioritizing investments based on road condition, safety, and value to residents
