The Howell Township Supervisor is a four-year elective office. The Supervisor is a voting member of the seven-member Board of Trustees. The Supervisor moderates board and annual meetings, is Chief assessing officer (if certified), is Secretary to board of review, is the Township’s legal agent, must maintain records of supervisor’s office, is responsible for tax allocation board budget (if applicable), develops the township budget, appoints some commission members, may call special meetings, and may appoint a deputy.
