Michigan public schools are underfunded by billions of dollars. We need to fully fund our public schools, and stop stealing money that was meant for Michigan’s K-12 public schools to offset cuts caused by giving corporations tax breaks. Universal public education is a human right, and Michigan students and teachers deserve the respect and resources they need to learn and teach. Here’s how:

1. Tax the rich to fully fund schools and give educators a raise. 2. Make free breakfast and lunch permanent. 3. Make public universities tution free. 4. Fund universal public pre-K for all. 5. Limit and replace standardized testing.
Under capitalism, corporations, landlords, and billionaires have stolen control of our government and economy from the working class and are hoarding the wealth that we created. As a democratic socialist, I am committed to organizing with our community so that we can take back our power. Working class people should be running our country, not billionaires and corporations. We must fight for universal healthcare, and publically owned utilities. We must get corporate money out of poltics. We need to take on Data Centers, slow down and regulate AI. We must pass legislation that strengthens the working class and unions.
We must do everything we can to address Climate Change. We need to hold corporations accountable by passing polluter pay laws. We need to take on DTE by banning corporate money from politics, pass a ratepayer bill of rights, and fight for a system where our utilities owned by us, not Wall Street. We must take on AI data centers. I have introduced legislation to put a moratorium on data centers, as well as repeal their tax breaks.
Before 2003, ICE did not exist. We must abolish ICE and develop sensible and humane immigration policies. We must investigate and prosecute ICE agents that are illegally kidnapping, detaining, and deporting our immigrant neighbors. While we cannot rely exclusively on the courts to protect us, it’s notable that ICE has lost in court over 4,400 times since October 2025 for wrongfully detaining people. ICE is currently operating as a rogue agency, repeatedly violating our constitution. When this administration is out of office, we must hold them accountable for ignoring our constitutional rights.

Our state is near dead last in reading and math scores. We must do better. We need to get back to phonics based reading, and get rid of common core math. Get back to the basics and prepare our kids for their future in Michigan.
The Whitmer administration has failed us in so many ways, but in particular, her push for getting rid of gas cars and move to wind turbines and solar panels for electricity. We must go with nuclear, clean coal, and clean natural gas. They are cheap. When energy is cheap, poverty goes down.
We must update the power grid. DTE and Consumers energy have been fleecing us for years, and making profit their main goal. We must hold them accountable for this old system, and force them to modernize it to make it more reliable. This would make it more affordable in the long run, when there is less upkeep and always fixing, instead of updating.
If you are an illegal immigrant you do not have “due process” rights in this country. The constitution is for citizens of this country, not for foreign nationals. They must leave and come back the proper way, just like hundreds of thousands before them. They broke the law by overstaying their visa or broke into our country. That isn’t something that we should overlook.
