Qualifications and Experience I bring years of experience working in media, communications, and community engagement, giving me a direct understanding of the issues affecting families, small businesses, and residents in our commun

Michigan has many excellent teachers and schools, but we still have significant gaps in student achievement and educational opportunity. I believe every child, regardless of their ZIP code or family income, should have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for college, skilled trades, or the workforce.

I support strong and transparent funding for public schools, with resources directed toward classrooms and student needs. We also need to address the teacher shortage by improving compensation, reducing unnecessary administrative burdens, and giving teachers the support and respect they need to succeed.

I believe constitutional rights apply to people in Michigan regardless of their immigration status. Due process, freedom of speech and religion under the First Amendment, and protections against unreasonable searches and seizures under the Fourth Amendment are fundamental rights that should be respected.

Michigan and local law enforcement should follow the Constitution and state law while maintaining public safety. Immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility, and Michigan should work within the law rather than attempting to create its own immigration system.

I would support policies that protect constitutional due process,
