Part of the problem with the education system is standardized testing being the way we measure educational success. While I understand the need for a way to measure there is too much time spent practicing for the test.
We also should be helping teachers set up their classrooms so they don’t have to post Amazon wish lists hoping to be able to equip their classrooms the way they need to.
Straight up, we need to do better for teachers. We need a well educated populace.
Raise the minimum wage
Universal healthcare (also reduces auto insurance rates)
Address utility costs
Address childcare with initiatives
Address housing affordability with multiple programs incentives for low income rental housing development and rehabilitation of buildings into multi unit housing
Diversify our energy portfolio leaning into renewable sources
Do NOT give a data center a break on anything if they must exist. Make corporate and industry shoulder the burden of their energy consumption rather than passing it on to consumers
Protect our waters
Address PFAS
Due process applies to ALL.
Private prisons and kids in cages need to end
The persecution of immigrants needs to stop
Whatever we can do at the state level to fight this- I am open to ideas and suggestions
