Experience A disabled veteran, Pastor, Associate Pastor, small business owner, and 25-year Berkeley County homeowner, Husband & Parent of 3 daughters, I have built my life around service — and is bringing that commitment to the District 6 County Council seat."
"Berkeley County's growth is a blessing — but only if we manage it responsibly. I will advocate for a mandatory infrastructure impact assessment before any new development receives approval. That means roads, drainage, water and sewer capacity, and school enrollment projections must all be evaluated and funded before a single shovel breaks ground — not patched together after the fact. I will push for the county to adopt a concurrency policy: development cannot be approved unless the infrastructure to support it is either already in place or has secured funding and a clear timeline for completion. This includes direct coordination with the Berkeley County School District to ensure school capacity keeps pace with residential growth. The people of District 6 deserve a representative who anticipates the needs of a growing community rather than reacting to the consequences of poor planning. My commitment is simple — growth must serve our residents, not burden them."
"As a veteran who served 14 years in the United States Air Force, I understand firsthand that you cannot wait for a crisis to build capacity — you prepare before the need arrives. As a County Council member, I will use my platform to demand a comprehensive public safety needs assessment that honestly measures where our fire, EMS, and law enforcement staffing and infrastructure stands today versus where our growth trajectory requires it to be in five and ten years.

I will advocate for dedicated public safety impact fees tied directly to new development approvals, ensuring that growth pays its fair share of the burden it creates. I will also push for transparent, data-driven reporting to the public so residents can see exactly where gaps exist and hold the county accountable for closing them. Public safety is not a line item to be trimmed — it is the foundation every community is built on, and District 6 deserves a representative who treats it that way."
"Economic development and quality of life are not opposing forces — when done right, they strengthen each other. As a small business owner and disabled veteran, I know what it takes to build something sustainable, and I will bring that perspective to every development conversation on the County Council. I will work to attract businesses that bring quality jobs with living wages to Berkeley County residents — not simply businesses that generate tax revenue while straining our roads, schools, and neighborhoods. That means requiring meaningful community impact reviews before approvals, ensuring new businesses contribute to — rather than detract from — the character of the communities they enter. I will also champion small business development within District 6 itself, connecting local entrepreneurs with county resources, grants, and procurement opportunities. A thriving Berkeley County is one where families can work, worship, and build a future without being priced out or overwhelmed by unchecked growth. That balance is achievable — but only with intentional, principled leadership on the Council."
