Growth and Development - I want to see a thriving economy in Jamestown. We have a great base; we just need to lay the groundwork by prioritizing infrastructure and focusing on community enhancement.

Public Safety - Public safety is the foundation of a strong city, and I am committed to keeping our community safe.

Fiscal Responsibility and Stability - We need to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars and ensure we are making decisions that support both short-term needs and long-term goals.
Competing priorities and the rising costs of goods and services. Increased costs place a burden on taxpayers, and we need to find solutions to reduce some of that burden. We need to be proactive in decision making and identify potential imbalances before they become a crisis. We can do this by planning for future expenditures, developing plans to enhance revenues, balancing the budget, and allocating resources to meet both the short-term needs and long-term goals of the community.
I would love to be involved in the strategic planning and create a comprehensive plan that promotes economic development and affordable housing in our community. I would be an advocate for our city and work with community organizations, stakeholders, and legislative members to create impactful partnerships to leverage resources to meet the housing needs of our city.
Absolutely. Our citizens deserve quality core services, and each service has costs associated with it. Property tax caps add complexity to budgetary planning when allocating resources to competing priorities. However, as mentioned above, I believe if we take a proactive approach and focus on long-term planning, we will be able to mitigate the effects of property tax caps.
I have several years of experience in the development and management of a municipal and capital budget. When working on the budget, collaboration is key for aligning goals. It is important to coordinate with department heads to analyze spending trends and look for variances to ensure accurate forecasting. The goal is to enhance transparency, align resources with goals, and maintain fiscal responsibility. Given my experience, I believe I can provide valuable insight to the budgeting process.
