Wellness of the district - for the students and staff. One of the ways I am working on this is to be a part of the Strategy Planning Task Force

My top three priorities include a healthy organizational culture to foster student achievement, a systemic guaranteed and viable curriculum, and balancing growth and development. We must support comprehenisve interconnectedness to set, deliver, and achieve academic standards while being mindful of current and future needs.
The West Fargo Public School District believes in educating all learners for tomorrow's world and is the fastest growing district for many years now. The district must remain committed to balancing growth and maintaining existing facilities. This requires a laser focus, vigilant approach to monitoring the funding formula and fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars.
School board members must set expectations for operational performance and desired results. It's imperative these expectations are monitored consistently to ensure requirements are met with fidelity and evaluated for ongoing relevance regarding student achievement.
Educators are valuable team members that support the attainment of student growth and academic outcomes. We must ensure educators receive continual professional development, support self-efficacy, and be champions of the time, energy, and efforts they provide learners.
I've made a lifelong investment in the West Fargo Public School District including my education and my children. I've witnessed the district transform from humble beginnings since my parents moved to the community in 1979. Education is a fundamental right for all children to ensure they are afforded the opportunity to reach their full potential with the enduring goal of being productive members of microeconomic and macroeconomic systems as adults. Children are the future and deserve greatness.

Student Focused: Student are at the center of all decisions.
Work to improve quality education for all students. Student academic success is a priority. Safe and secure schools.
Teacher retention and recruitment. Advocate for the dedicated educators in our district. I understand the issues that are most critical to their success.
Work with the legislature to ensure it continues to adequately fund our states school districts. I currently serve on the Education Committee in the House of Representatives and have fought for funding and programs for our school districts.
Hiring great teachers and administrators. The most important factor in education is not computers or curriculum. It is the teachers in the classroom that are the difference makers. Support environments where high expectations are met with strong academic content and rigor.
Teachers need to feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like the professionals they are. A main goal is to work on retention and recruitment of quality teachers and staff members. They have the most direct impact on student success. We need to keep new teachers and veteran teachers in the profession by providing the working conditions they deserve with proper support and pay.
I am committed to listening to students, parents, teachers, and administration advocating for their interests. I have a passion to ensure all West Fargo School District students have access to a high quality education. I have a proven track record of working for students and teachers. Good schools are critical to our success. They are the bedrock our society and economy are built upon.
My top priorities are to support and empower our learners and educators to learn, grow and be well. In a growing district, keeping the focus on educating our learners and monitoring their growth and successes is important, as well as ensuring equity and consistent access to needed resources for all our of learners and educators.
This requires a multi-factor approach, including communicating with our state legislators regarding the importance and daily impacts of adequate funding for public education, working with the residents of our district to find sustainable solutions from local property taxes and being a part of public organizations focused on as-needed responses to the growth of our learner population.
School board members have an integral role in driving academic outcomes. In our district, the board sets the desired results and monitors these results annually. The board also plays a primary role in identifying our strategic plan and navigating application of those values to every-day procedures for the district.
As noted above, adequate funding for public education is a strong priority of mine. Consistent and meaningful funding for public education is directly related to each district's ability to provide equitable compensation to their educators. Beyond compensation, I strongly support statewide efforts to grow our educators from local high schools and universities, and our district's consistent focus on school culture and wellness to ensure educators feel supported and valued.
I aspire to be an advocate for both our learners and our educators to ensure they all have what they need to thrive. Over the past four years, I have learned about so many wonderful, inspiring things our learners have accomplished and ways our educators have gone the extra mile for their learners and each other. I serve as a champion for our district by sharing these amazing events so the successes of both learners and educators can be recognized.
