My priorities are managing growth responsibly, strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and improving infrastructure throughout the county. As one of the fastest-growing regions in the state, Horry County faces increasing pressure on roads, schools, public safety, and essential services. I support investments that keep pace with growth while ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently and transparently. I will advocate for strong public schools by supporting educators, addressing workforce needs, and ensuring students have access to high-quality educational opportunities. I also believe every people should have access to affordable healthcare and essential services close to home for quality of life.
SC can and should pursue growth while protecting the natural resources that make our communities unique. I support data-driven planning that evaluates the long-term impacts of development on transportation, stormwater management, public safety, housing, schools, utilities, and natural resources. Growth should be coordinated with investments in roads, infrastructure, and public services so communities are not left struggling to catch up. Protecting clean water, preserving natural habitats, improving flood resilience, and safeguarding public health are essential to responsible growth. Through collaboration among state & local leaders, businesses, developers, and residents, we can achieve sustainable growth while preserving SC quality of life.
Access to healthcare is fundamental to healthy families and strong communities. I support expanding access to primary care, preventive services, mental health care, and healthcare professionals, especially in underserved and rapidly growing areas. South Carolina should strengthen healthcare infrastructure, reduce barriers to care, and support policies that help families access services close to home. This includes investing in the healthcare workforce and improving coordination among providers, schools, community organizations, and state agencies. By supporting children, seniors, veterans, and caregivers, and focusing on prevention and early intervention, we can improve health outcomes and quality of life for all South Carolinians.
