Biographical Information

1. What are your top priorities for Legislative action during the next 2 years?

2. How would you balance the need for adequate infrastructure with the need to protect the South Carolina’s people and and our natural environment?

3. What actions would you take to improve access to health care and family support services for all South Carolina residents?

When speaking with my constituents they have made it very clear that their top priorities are infrastructure, affordable housing, fiscal responsibility, and education. I believe our legislatures need to listen to their constituents more. In listening to the people have made these my top priorities also.
Our first step should be upgrading and maintaining the infrastructure already in place over adding more. We also need to restore, expand and support our wetlands and green spaces. By requiring stricter building codes and more comprehensive impact studies for larger projects we should be able to control the over all impact to our natural environment.
The first steps would be to expand medicaid, provide funding for more rural clinics, streamline the licensing process for out of state providers to come here, and fund more child care subsidies to help make children safer.
