Horry County Council District 7
Horry County has a county council whose members represent 11 single-member districts within the county, with a chairperson voted at-large. The county council adopts an annual county budget, resolutions, and local ordinances (laws). They also establish programs and public services for the county. All council members are elected to serve 4-year terms.

Infrastructure and flooding in my opinion are two biggest issues in Horry County. If elected to serve as councilman of District 7, I would review how we currently deal with these two issues and form a committee consisting of current and new voices to correct the following instead of putting bandaids in place. The following are not new to this area but I am afraid we have never come up with solutions that will prevent them or at minimum slow down the damage that our county has faced recently!
I believe we must go out into the communities and meet with the people of the county and do a better job of collaborating with the people verses just making decisions. We must do a better job of communicating and involving our communities and that will assist us in growing together smarter and responsibily!
